Literally warm dahil summer na. Oo na! Summer na, please take it slow sa init mong dala. It was very hot and humid when we visited Mt. Balagbag. After all those hesitations because of the incident finally we’re (Me, Carla, Sol) able to push thru. Bahala na anong mangyari samin, haha. As expected it will be hot (Super hot! As in!) even though we travelled as early as we can. Heat wave ang sinuong naming!haha. Mt. Balagbag does not require a guide unless you want to traverse to the falls or go somewhere else. Long weekend for April calls for another adventure (maka-adventure ako eh), time for another gala, another DIY trip, another set of people na mahihila sa lakad na ito. Initially it was Carla, Kim and I who would go for a hike. San tayo punta? Again, Mt. Balagbag crossed our minds but someone told Carla it’s not safe to go since we’re just a small group. So, we decided to go for Maysawa Circuit in Tanay, Rizal and this will be my first twin hike (push natin to bes!), days before our hike the weather is so unpredictable – bigla nalang uulan tapos titigil. Let’s just hope hindi bagyo ang sasalubong samin sa hike – may trauma na ako sa hike ng bumabagyo (haha). I invited my friends because the more the merrier; from 3 pax we became 9 pax for this trip. So, it’s Me, Carla, Kim, Marj, Kenny, Claire, Harvey, Malou, and Ghelo. Continue reading
Summer is fast approaching and we can already feel the heat – wala masyadong connect ang intro ko, gusto ko lang sabihin na malapit na ang summer season. Time for another adventure! Sakit lang talaga ng katawan ang hanap. Meyeh and I have been planning to go to the much talked Nagpatong Rock Formation. I first heard Nagpatong during our climb in Mt. Binacayan, our guide was telling that the view there is really nice. Then, it became a hit when it was featured in a movie. So, off to another DIY trip. Continue reading
Happy Chinese New Year! So, to maximize the holiday (and long weekend) we decided to go for another hike. Everything was already planned; itinerary, expenses and van rental, then something unexpected happened. So, from our original plan of going to Mt.Talamitan and side trip to a beach I just looked for mountain nearby which is in Rizal and chose Mt. Batolusong. Another mountain, another DIY trip to make – as bloggers would say it’s suitable for beginners – off to our next adventure. Day before the hike (since it will be a long weekend) I was trapped in Metro Manila and having a hard time going home. Paano na ang 4AM call time? I had to adjust our call time because I will not function well with less sleep. Sige, pagtanggol mo sarili mo!haha. Continue reading
Most people would have a gathering or throw a party for their birthday; but in my case I wanted to do a day hike. I’ve been thinking of doing this since last month and I thought of Mt. Balagbag in Rizal since it doesn’t require a guide. One day before my birthday I asked my college friend some details since she just hiked Mt. Balagbag late last year. Lo and behold she recommended Mt. Manalmon since there was a theft incident last new year in Balagbag. (haba ng intro ko,haha) In short, nagpanic ako ng very light dahil naplano ko na ang expenses sa Balagbag and immediately searched for expenses in Mt. Manalmon and directions on how to get there.
Since Mama told me to do an itinerary for our Manaoag – Baguio getaway I googled for a quick hike that we can do that’s just near Baguio and I saw Mt. Yangbew at Tawang La Trinidad Benguet. So, of course I dragged my younger brother for this hike, wala syang choice because walang allowance pag di ako sinamahan, haha. Continue reading
This year for Mama’s birthday she wanted to visit another church (last year we went to Padre Pio at Batangas) – so we decided to go to Manaoag at Pangasinan; wanted to maximize our trip she decided that we proceed to Baguio afterwards since it’s near Manaoag. The overnight stay went on a 2-night stay at Baguio. Not knowing that our planned dates will be declared special non-working days. Uh-oh! Almost all of the cheap accommodations at Baguio were fully booked two weeks prior our trip (mini heart attack na!). Luckily I found an affordable place thru Airbnb. Continue reading
